Monday, 9/25:
Demo:
  • ​AM: Class coil-along and how to coil build a hump/slump mold.  Plus, what shapes make a good mold, anyway?
  • PM: From coil to slab - you'll learn slab rolling tips, start exploring templates and see one way to approach a handbuilt cup.

Tuesday, 9/26:

Demo:​ 
  • AM: Handbuilt plate follow along - we'll make a plate step by step together!
  • PM: Handbuilt plate wrap up, playing with templates and an intro to using the digital cutter for templates.  Plus, paper clay patch for crack repairs.

  • AM: Thrown mugs & refining your coil built mold
  • PM: Handle extravaganza!  You'll have so many handles by the end of this demo that your cups just may all become mugs!
    • ​Pinched, coiled, rolled, pulled, hollow, slab, carrot, two-handed pulling

Demo:​ 
  • AM: Additional ways to approach building plates using wood blocks and fun foam templates. Plus using a mold to create small bowls
  • PM: A slightly trickier soup bowl + a low and wide pasta bowl (ideal for surface in week 2!)

  • AM: ​How to make my favorite type of hump mold - foam and plaster 
  • PM: Prepping pots for the start of surface week - clean up and latex resist plus discussion of the Courage section of Big Magic.
